10/21 to 10/23: 24th Goodguys Southeastern Nationals

Here’s another something you could consider going to RIGHT NOW as well as the rest of today plus if you’re unsure planning to start for the weekend, it’s the 24th Goodguys Southeastern Nationals is a great event for automotive enthuasists and it’s family-friendly.
Communications Director at Goodguys Rod & Custom Association, Betsy Bennett tells all Charlotteans what you need to know before going inside to take a first hand with a look world class range of  automotive & classic cars on display.
1. What is the Goodguys Southeastern Nationals is all about?
The Goodguys Southeastern Nationals is a hot rod, custom and classic car event, offering show n’ shine, AutoCross racing, vendor midway, entertainment, indoor car show and three days of automotive family fun

2. How long did you run this event?
The event is in its 24th year

3. So what activities and show features you will have on display over the next three days?

Vendor exhibits, show n’ shine, AutoCross racing, indoor car show, model car show
4. Will there be Special Big Name Guests that will be coming to the Speedway?

Robby Unser, 9 time Pikes Peak Hill Climb champion and former Indycar driver will be racing for Team Speedway in the Team Speedway ’67 Camaro in the PRO class of AutoCross.
5. On one note, I heard that you will have the visitors the chance cruise around the Speedway under lights, is this admission a separate add on ticket along with the standard ticket you enter to the event? 
No, the track cruise is only for registered event participants. There is no additional admission ticket for spectators. Only show cars in the event. The track cruise is after the event is closed on Saturday.
6. Give me a wide range of vendors that will take part at the Southeastern Nationals?

 Detroit Speed & Engineering, RaceDeck, PPG Industries, JRI Shocks, BF Goodrich Tires, Photo-Sports, Snap-On, USA Lift, etc. Here is the link to the vendor layout and page.
7. What do visitors need to know what items they can or can’t bring to the event? 
They can check the Charlotte Motor Speedway website for those items.
8. Do you offer help and guidance such as directions to the event such as parking, camping and accommodation? 
On our event details page there is information for hotel and camping.  Parking is available at the Speedway all three days of the event for a $5 charge.  Here is the event details page link for you.
9. What is the Admission to enter this event and is it too late to the purchase the tickets yet? 
You can purchase tickets at the event all three days.  General admission is $20, kids (7-12) $12 and kids 6 and under free.  Show car registration is open all during the event in the Smith Tower at the track.  The registration fees vary depending on what they sign up for.  That information is also on the link above.
10. When, What time and Where the Southeastern Nationals will take place? 
Charlotte Motor Speedway, Concord.  8 am to 5 pm Friday and Saturday, 8 am to 3pm on Sunday.
11. If there’s wet weather involved, will the event still go ahead? 
The event is rain or shine.
12.  Why the 3 day Southeastern Nationals is going to be a fun weekend for motorsports and car enthusiasts?

This event is a perfect car lovers weekend because it combines show cars, AutoCross racing, exhibits, and swap meet, cars for sale, kids zone,  all wrapped up in the infield in the Charlotte Motor Speedway.
