NASCAR: Chase Briscoe is ready to break into the Top 10 mark at Texas this weekend

Chase Briscoe is looking forward to returning to the No.60 Ford Mustang for Roush Fenway Racing when the NASCAR XFINITY Series moves onto Texas Motor Speedway this weekend.

It has been excellent news hearing from him last week when he will race five additional NXS races with Stewart-Haas/Biagi-DenBeste Racing in the No.98 Ford Performance-branded Mustang.

That meant as a 23-year old from Mitchell, Indiana, Briscoe will get an opportunity to impress his idol, SHR team owner & Indiana native Tony Stewart in line for a full-time NXS ride next year.

For now, it’s all about getting back in the No.60 car and finishing off Saturday on a positive note at Texas.

Chase Briscoe’s Texas Truck Series Record

In June 2017, Briscoe started P12 before he finished 2nd behind winner Christopher Bell where he only led seven laps.

Five months ago, he started from to 10th to finish in 4th place having led a single lap.

Overall, Briscoe clocked all 314 laps & only led out in front with eight laps throughout both Spring and Fall races in the No.29 Cooper Standard sponsored Ford F-150 for the then Brad Keselowski Racing last year.

He boasts two Top 5/10 finishes with a good percentage of 100%.

According to Racing Reference, his NCWTS average start at TMS is 11 and finish is 3.

Summary

  • Two events
  • 314 of 314 laps completed, 100%
  • Eight laps led
  • Two Top 5/10 finishes, 100%
  • Average Start: 11 and Finish: 3.

Looking back at Chase Briscoe’s NASCAR XFINITY Series debut

He made his debut at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Saturday, February 24, 2018, in the No.60 Ford Mustang for Roush Fenway Racing.

He started out in P18, and although Briscoe would’ve liked to do a better if he finished closer towards the Top 10 mark, he finished in P15 with one lap down.

According to Racing Reference, he did complete 162 of 163 laps with a percentage of 99.4%.

He has an NXS Average Start of 18 and Finish of 15.

When he comes back in the No.60 car this weekend, there are a lot of things happening on Briscoe’s radar regarding talent & commitment that should see him aggressively challenge towards the front end of the field.

Summary

  • One Race
  • 162 of 163 laps completed, 99.4%
  • Average Start: 18 and Finish: 15.
  • DNF: 0
  • He presently sits at 28th in the 2018 NXS Drivers’ Standings with 22 points.

Which sponsor will be onboard for Briscoe this weekend?

The paint design is going to be different to the one we saw on his NXS debut at Atlanta but we will that Ford Performance paint scheme on the No.98 Ford Mustang next weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Instead, we’re going to see Briscoe race the No.60 Ford Mustang on Friday and Saturday alongside Nutri Chomps as his primary sponsor.

Plus the image of Jack Hanna will be on both rear quarter panels of Briscoe’s NXS No.60 car.

If you don’t know what Nutri Chomps is then it’s 100% rawhide-free, vitamin and mineral enriched, high protein dog crew made out of chicken and pork skin.

Scott Pet Inc. owns Nutri Chomps as they’re a family-owned manufacturer based in Rockville, Indiana where they produce quality pet products for over four decades.

Scott Pet partnering up with Chase Briscoe means a lot for supporting local talent across Indiana

It’s not the first time that they’re sponsoring Briscoe because that partnership traced back to 2016 when Scott Pet supported him while racing in the ARCA Racing Series.

Briscoe promoted the Scott Pet products on his cars while Jack Hanna gave an important message across print and media advertisements to consumers about the dangers of rawhide.

It’s great to see Scott Pet and Briscoe teaming up once again this season where the multi-race deal will stretch from races such as:

  • Texas
  • Richmond (Spring Race)
  • Pocono
  • Chicago
  • Indianapolis
  • Homestead-Miami.

Furthermore, that partnership strengthens the support amongst local businesses & drivers in Indiana who are looking to make their make mark such as Briscoe across Nationwide U.S. that makes sense on the business side of the sport.
