Christopher Bell may have faulted a speeding penalty during the first stage break.
But he remained patient where he escaped all carnage before coming home inside the Top 3.
Now with Kentucky in his sights, he’s looking after his 2nd of 2018 this Friday night.
Christopher Bell started from 6th as he ran mid-pack during Stage 1 in 12th.
When he made his first pit stop, he slid out sideways while trying to control his speed.
Bell had to spend more time on pit road to get the adjustments done before serving another stop via the penalty.
Nevertheless, Bell made up lost time where he regained several spots up to 15th in Stage 2.
That provided an excellent build-up towards the final stage as Bell survived all wrecks to finish in 3rd.

Great job to Christopher Bell who stayed patient throughout the rest of the race.
A penalty when he lost control with speed on pit road may have haunted him.
But a Top 3 finish from Daytona five days ago conveys that Bell is the man that showcases immense talent behind the wheel.
It doesn’t matter if you’re from dirt/short track background or a road course ringer, it’s not too late to demonstrate side drafting at a Superspeedway like Daytona.
Another 1.5-mile plus tri-oval race is happening this Friday this time at Kentucky.
Bell is sure what he’d learned from Daytona into the making the most of staying up front.
His Playoff place has already have locked in thanks to his win at Richmond in April.
He can go the extra mile by again challenging some of the best Cup racers & aim for that 2nd win of 2018.
At last but not least.
