Austin Cindric leaves Kentucky Speedway with a respectable 10th place finish in the No.12 Team Penske Ford Mustang

Austin Cindric bounced back with a different number plate & paint scheme at Kentucky Speedway.

Having secured another Top 10 run at the finish line, Cindric deserves a well-earned rest back home this weekend.

Race Recap

He started off from 14th spot as he felt comfortable with the handling but feeling tight in the center.

Nevertheless, Cindric ended up 8th in Stage 1.

He retained his Top 10 spot in 9th towards the halfway point.

However, he may have dropped his pace quite a bit over the tightness on that run.

So, the No.12 crew added an air pressure adjustment & added tape on the nose of Cindric’s car.

Nothing big or small has changed on the run home as Austin Cindric clinches his sixth Top 10 of 2018 in 10th place.

Conclusion

Great job from the assistance of his crew members of helping Cindric finish the best he can.

It’s an okay and respectable 10th place finish since he bounced back from a late crash last week in Daytona.

Now Cindric will fly back home in North Carolina for a well deserved weekend off.

Then he & Team Penske will look back at the pros & cons from Friday’s race in Kentucky.

It’s a crucial time now for Cindric to start building his way into regularly battling the Top 5.

It doesn’t matter if it’s Cup regulars or not, ticking off that next step of his third Top 5 of 2018 would show significant progress for Cindric’s development in the NASCAR XFINITY Series.
