Kyle Larson last week unveiled his 2019 first paint scheme at Chip Ganassi Racing’s Headquarters.
He will be onboard with Credit One Bank as his primary partner for most of this season.
Apart from that, there will be other special paint schemes that Larson & the No.42 CGR Crew race throughout the year.
Larson will have a different team-mate that will increase the overall competition at CGR.
His name is Kurt Busch who will drive the sister No.1 Chevy in place of Jamie McMurray.
Larson will benefit from Ku.Busch’s expertise in the way that will help him get back into victory lane more often.
At last, he will hopefully follow his footsteps and win both the Daytona 500 and the Championship in the years to come.
There’s no offense to Jamie McMurray who moved to CGR’s management team and on FOX NASCAR.
But Larson didn’t have enough support battling towards the top alone while McMurray got stuck further towards the Top 20.
- Three Poles
- Zero Wins
- 12 Top 5
- 19 Top 10
Despite not advancing through to the semi-final Playoffs, Larson did bounce off lately with back to back Top 5:
- 5th, Texas
- 3rd, Phoenix
This late payback from the lost time he recovered from that fate helped him finish 9th in the Drivers’ Standings last year.
So hopefully some extra experience at this organization will help CGR at last hold off the likes such as:
- Team Penske
- Stewart-Haas Racing
- Joe Gibbs Racing
- Hendrick Motorsports
And in return, Larson will achieve the desired results possible which would hopefully include the Championship.
Where will he finish in 2019?
Expect him to return to victory lane soon as long as the No.42 Chevy looks speedy all race long.
Apart from that, Larson will need a robust, consistent finish within the Top 7-10 mark and win a few races throughout the year.
That way Larson won’t need to rush and build a springboard towards racing against the big boys on a regular basis.
So realistically, he should at least be safe to advance in the Semi-Final Playoff bubble.
It will increase his chances to finish anywhere in the Top 8 Drivers’ Standings.
Kyle Larson will come back stronger than ever to get the job done every week.
He will hop in the No.42 Chevy calm and confident right from the very first practice session.
From there, Larson & the No.42 Team will do everything they can to make the right adjustments in each session available before giving the all clear to race well uninterrupted.
The techniques are there to make Larson’s racing style look good such as his favored high line which he developed right from his dirt car days.
And there’s no stopping Larson to make himself as the fans favorite to win the Championship.
Several media outlets and fans churned his name out once before when he won a few races during the first half of the season two years ago.
Now he wants to be back in the main event as he prepares to become “The Big Four” by writing the right side of history this year in NASCAR.
This year has to be the best Kyle Larson self that NASCAR first found him as one of the emerging racers to watch a few years back.
He will do fine with a speedy race car as long as there’s support from fans and the No.42 Team members to take home some silverware.
Everyone cannot see a reason why Larson should suffer a winless season yet again.
It cannot happen to him anymore as he has unfinished business to do between now and Daytona in a few weeks.
