2020 Super Rugby AU (Week 2) & Aotearoa (Week 5) Review + lead-in match up talk with Nick McArdle

In this video, I get to chat and ask a few questions to Nick McArdle by going through the previous week’s games of Super Rugby AU.

You can check out my interview with Nick via YouTube on the link below:

We began talking about the Super Time rule that was implemented for the first time during the Rebels v Reds clash last week.

Neither side has turned a corner, in the end, having to settle a point each,

Speaking of the Rebels, he analyses how the Melbourne-based side plays it safely off the pitch, having stationed temporarily in Canberra due to their recent COVID outbreak back home.

We move on and review the Waratahs v Force last Saturday, followed by this week’s games ahead.

Tonight’s match-up sees the Reds host the Force at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.

Then you got the Match of the Round tomorrow night at ANZ Stadium in Homebush with the Waratahs v Brumbies.

I’ll be attending this match-up tomorrow night & bring you some content on-site.

Lastly, we wrapped up with some Super Rugby Aoteroa over in New Zealand.

Again, another cracking game with the Crusaders v Blues from last Saturday as the Crusaders still unbeaten.

The question will be on whether the Blues can revert to the form that has fired up over the last four weeks.

We’ll have to find out when they face the in-form Hurricanes that turned a corner in recent times thanks to Jordie Barrett.

And Sunday Afternoon’s clash will feature both out of form sides (Chiefs v Highlanders).

They will at least have an opportunity to turn things around going into the 2nd half of this NZ-only competition.

Nick said in the end that the Chiefs would come out on top this time around despite not having won a game so far.

I thank Nick for his time speaking to me yesterday via phone call on all things Super Rugby.

And I look forward to chatting with him again in a few weeks.
